Come out and explore the culinary genius of these Pleasure Island Chefs as they carefully prepare varieties of your favorite dish paired with delicious craft beers from Good Hops Brewing. Enjoy unlimited Mac and Cheese samples  prepared 5 different ways and then vote for your favorite. \nNO PETS ALLOWED! PLEASE NO STROLLERS! \nProceeds and contributions from this event support The Island Men and the many charities they serve. The Island Men is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The Friday night outdoor concert will be held inside the Seawitch Cafe and Tiki Bar. \n   \nThe Island Men is a 501.c.3 non-profit organization whose mission is to as a volunteer organization is to raise money that supports local charities and strengthens our community through the participation in local civic\, educational and athletic projects that enhance the quality of life in our community. The proceeds of this year’s Regatta benefit Ocean Cure and the Island Men Charities and Children’s Educational\, Civic and Athletic Activities we support. \nOcean Cure is a 501c3 non-profit organization based out of Carolina Beach\, NC. It is our mission to provide increased beach accessibility to our coast\, and to help improve the quality of life for our participants through surfing. For more than ten years we have served over a thousand participants and their families with a number of life challenges and disabilities through the use of beach wheelchairs\, accessible flooring\, and adaptive surf boards. There is no beach that we cannot make accessible. And we want to make sure that our participants leave understanding that there is no obstacle that they cannot overcome. \n

Contact Steve Reavis 954-658-7343. \nThe Island Men is an all-volunteer 501.c.3 non-profit group of local men whose broader purpose is to increase camaraderie amongst the men of Pleasure Island and the surrounding area by helping local charities through our fundraising efforts. We are also organized to strengthen our community through participation in community projects to help improve the quality of life for our fellow residents and those who visit our island. The Island Men currently awards five $1000 dollar scholarships to individuals in our area who are attending an accredited program of higher education through a 529 program that we established in 2020. In 2021\, we had 22 quality applications from which we chose five individuals to receive scholarships. The hope is to raise money through the golf tournament\, with the help of our sponsors\, local businesses and your participation to enable even more individuals to reach their goal of obtaining higher education.

DESCRIPTION:2020 ISLAND MEN GOLF CART RALLY  \n\nDate: Saturday\, Early Evening October 24th\, 2020\nTime: Rally will be assembling between 4:30 to 5:30\nThe Rally will follow a 45 to 60 min Route with a focus on Family Fun and Safety.\nThe objective of the Rally is to raise money for local charities and to also promote a night out to local Restaurants.  \nWe expect the Rally to be over by 8PM with all participants ending up at a designated restaurant location. \n\nThe 2020 Island Men Golf Cart Rally & Fund Raiser is a family fun event to be held in Carolina Beach\, NC on Saturday\, October 24th. The Event is designed for families with social distancing and wearing masks incorporated to ensure public safety.  The Golf Cart Rally is something short of a parade with Golf Carts Lighted and Decorated in the spirit of Halloween.   \n  \nThe event is sponsored to help raise money for local charities and each Golf Cart entered would donate $25 to the Island Men Charity Fund for future distribution to the charities we support. The Rally will follow a course through the residential neighborhoods where we would encourage residents and their families to come watch it from their yards.   \n  \nThere will be a Judges Table for review and Trophies and Prizes will be given out to winners or certain categories.. \n(Sample Categories) Best Decorated Cart\, Best Rider Costumes\, Best use of Lighting\, Most Original\, Best Children’s Subject Entry\, Most Spirited. \n  \nEVENT RULES ARE STILL IN THE WORKS BUT WILL INCLUDE: \n\nSOCIAL DISTANCING OF CARTS\nSEAT BELTS WORN BY ALL RIDERS\nMASKS TO BE WORN BY ALL RIDERS\nALL RIDERS MUST REMAIN ON THE GOLF CART DURING THE RALLY\nNO ALCOHOL ON CARTS\nYOU MUST HAVE FUN
