Little Pink Houses of Hope

Every spring the Little Pink Houses of Hope hosts a weeklong retreat on Pleasure Island for families who have a member battling breast cancer.  The Island Men have been and continue to be a proud partner on this endeavor.  Through the strength of our membership along with the kindness and generosity of many in our community we are happy to organize activities that allow us to share our lifestyle with the visiting families.  The simple act of providing a few meals, throwing lines in the water in hopes of landing a fish and experiencing the undemanding leisure that comes with seeing a beautiful sunset has helped us provide moments for families to relax, unwind and reconnect in a difficult time. Little Pink Houses are moving forward with 15-20 families hosting this year on Pleasure Island and 80 people in the week of April 13^th.  The Island Men will host a day of fishing for family member at the Kure Beach Pier followed by a lunch in the Kure Beach Pavilion, additionally there is will a beach sunset cruise followed by a cook-out.
