2026 Island Men Backyard BBQ Cookoff

Get ready for a full day of food, music, and community at the beach! The Island Men proudly present the Backyard BBQ Cookoff, taking place at Fort Fisher Recreational Area.

This exciting family-friendly event brings together more than 20 of the area’s best local BBQ smokers as they compete for the first-place trophy and ultimate bragging rights as top BBQ in the area. Come hungry, sample some incredible barbecue, enjoy live bands, shop local art and product vendors, and let the kids have fun in the children’s entertainment area.
